WSO-PK has launched a project titled “Accesses to Justice for Vulnerable Population” in Northern Punjab.  The goal of the project is to improve access to justice and human rights through the provision of efficient, cost effective legal assistance and protection for vulnerable populations. 
 

Centre Coordinator (1 Positions)- Faisalabad (Muzaffargarh)

  • University Graduate/Master’s degree in relevant academic discipline L.L.B will be preferred 
  • Excellent command of English – writing, speaking, editing and reporting
  • Minimum three years relevant work experience
  • Excellent command of MS Office® software (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and ability to use information technology tools and resources
  • High organizational ability and able to work with limited supervision
  • Competent in office management

 

Duration:

2 months contract. Extendable on requirement and satisfactory performance

Scope of Work
·     Establish system for receiving timely inputs from Project headquarters and staff for preparing high quality reports, success stories and case studies in English for the donor

  • Supervision of client’s registration, Case referral mechanism and timely submission of QPR

·     Relevant reporting tasks will include but not be limited to:
·     coordinating with senior management and partner staff as to the progress and status of activities for reporting
·     Collecting and reporting best practices and lessons learned
·     Ensure that all reporting inputs are formatted in accordance with donor requirements
·     Provide assistance to senior management in the final preparation of quarterly and annual reports
·     Take the lead in the preparation of factsheets, PowerPoint presentations – that will be used to better market the program to its stakeholders
·     Advise and manage counselor, desk officer according to need

Trainer required for Counter Violence & Extremism

WSO intends to build up support for government’s efforts to implement NAP, by launching a grassroots’ level sensitization and awareness campaign through establishing and strengthening citizen peace action committees (CAPCs). These CPACs will involve people from all ages, gender and segments of society including youth and elders, student’s, farmers and tenants, minorities and schedule caste, community activist and local government officials with the main objective of sensitization on NAP and initiating CVE initiatives. The activities seek to establish and build capacity of 24 citizen peace action committees (CPACs) in 06 Union Councils (UC’s) of Tehsil Ali Pur in District Muzaffargarh. WSO under this activity, are using already established community based committees. The CPAC will be trained on developing community based CVE strategies in support of the NAP and social media (Facebook, twitter and other application)

Project “Citizens’ Peace Action Committees to Counter Violence & Extremism”
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Consultancy required for CVE’s Manual preparation

The 21st Amendment to the constitution has given the Nation the 20 – point National Action Plan (NAP) to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan. The NAP announced by Prime Minister Calls for countering extremism and terrorism in the country which is directly challenging many institution, peoples and groups from all kind of different backgrounds. NAP empowers the armed forces to take action against terrorist. In addition NAP lay down point such as eradicating hate speech, and controlling financing to extremist groups to close all possible avenues of extremism and its support from the society. To successfully implement NAP, government needs not only to strength execution of various clauses of the plan but also the garner support at the grassroots level.

Scope of Work:
Training Manual will be prepared on CVE observing National Action Plan clause # 05.

Delivering of Training:
Consultant will deliver two days TOT training to 02 Master Trainers & 12 Field Coordinators on approved manual.

Timeline:
The consultant will submit 1st draft manual (extracted from the 5 days’ already prepared & shared contents) within 08 days of the agreement and final draft will be shared within 10 days after the approval of contents and manual from WSO-PK and Donor.

Deliverables:

  • Will develop and share the contents of training from the provided manual
  • Will provide the final draft in hard and soft form
  • Provide handouts for the participants
  • Day-wise tentative schedule and plan with contents and methodology

The training should include, at least, the following points:
• The language of the manual will be in Urdu
• Training manual should cover 100 community driven actions regarding CVE
• Manual should be 30 to 35 pages excluding the title page
• Pictorial view will be use in the manual

Job Opportunities WSO-PK has launched a project titled “Citizen Peace Action Committee (CPAC) to counter Violent Extremism (CVE)” in Southern Punjab. The overall objective of the project is to enhance national and local capacities for and resilience to prevent and counter radicalization and recruitment to violent extremism in Pakistan. To implement the project effectively experienced, energetic and motivated individuals would be required against the following positions:
